South Caicos Heritage.
South Caicos is part of the beautiful Turks and Caicos archipelago, just 8.2 square miles, known for excellent fishing, SCUBA diving, and a heartfelt community. Cockburn Harbour is the main town on island, home to about 900 residents, boasting several significant landmarks including the only natural harbor in Turks and Caicos, the Queens Parade Grounds where Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II landed in 1966, and the 18th century Commissioners House - to name a few.
The South Caicos Heritage Foundation was established in 2017 to preserve the natural history and partner with local leaders and community influencers to work alongside the people of South Caicos. Our goal is to preserve and support the history, culture, and community of South Caicos.
